Sakurajima

Volcanos in Sakurajima have erupted very frequently, some dozens to hundreds times in a year. Once you arrive to the island by ferry, you will find lava, ashy mud and if you look up, eroded crest where no plant is grown. There are some observation points on the island where different shapes of mountains can be observed. Let's visit Sakurajima Visitor Center for tourist information. (2018. Feb）

桜島

​年間数十回〜数百回の爆発的噴火を繰り返している桜島。フェリーで島に到着するとすぐに溶岩や灰の泥など桜島ならではの光景が目に入ります。御岳は展望所により違う姿を表し、美しさを感じると同時に、内に秘める怖さも感じさせます。桜島ビジターセンターでは降灰予報、桜島の成り立ち学習、ツアー情報などが用意されていますのでこちらに立ち寄ることもおすすめです。(2018年2月)
