紅簾石片岩 露頭

世界で初めて結晶片岩中から紅簾石が報告された場所の一つだそうです。名勝・天然記念物に指定されていますが、岩に登ってじっくり観察できるのがうれしい。深紅色がとても美しく、いつまでも眺めていられる場所です。ポットホールもありますよ。（2017年11月）

Here is one of the locations where piemontite was found in crystalline schist in the world. This place is national monument in Japan but it is allowed to step on  the rock and look closely as much as you want. Reddish and purplish colored rock is very beautiful. You can find some pot holes here too. （2017.Nov）
