恐山

霊場として有名なのでTVでも見る機会が何度かありましたが、やはり実際に足を運ぶと違いますね。恐山、霊場と言われるのも納得。よく見る白く変色した岩石と風車が回っている荒涼とした光景は、火山ガスや熱水の噴出で植物が育たなかったり、岩石の成分が溶かされてしまったことによります。またここで湧き出す熱水の沈殿物には高濃度の金が含まれているとのこと。規模はそれほど大きくないようですが現在進行形の鉱床かと思うと想像が膨らみます。また敷地内には温泉もありますのでここで疲れをほぐすのもいいですね。（2017年7月）

Mount Osore

There are whitish rocks dissolved by volcanic and hydrothermal gas. No plant is grown due to the gas. For Japanese, the place is famous as "Reiba" rather than geologic site. 

According to the research, deposit of the hydrothermal here contains gold and the concentration is very high. The gold area is not large but it is dreamy to know that gold mine is kept produced in front of you. 

This place has small Onsen(Hot spring) you can bathe without paying extra fee that entrance fee covers it too. （2017 July）
